Born and raised in New Haven, CT, Erica Wilkins made her acting debut as the lead in the hit stage play Torn Between the Two. She went on to star in the Off-Broadway production of The Color Purple: The Musical, where she captivated audiences as Celie and earned a NJACT Perry Award for her performance. Most recently, she appeared in A Soulful Christmas in both New Jersey and New York City.

In addition to her stage work, Erica has been a background vocalist in the gospel community for over 23 years and recently stepped into her solo artistry with the release of her debut single, Rainbows (Nov.). She studied at the New Haven Academy for Performing Arts under the guidance of Lara Morton.

Erica gives all glory to God for the opportunities and gifts He has given her, holding fast to the scripture: “In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.”
